What is Vegetable Sommeliers?
Vegetable sommelier is a certification delivered by the Japan Vegetable
Sommelier Association.
They are certified by the private-sector Vegetable and Fruit Meister Association as having expert
knowledge of fruit and vegetable characteristics and the best way to eat them.
They are experts on produce in the same way that sommeliers are experts on the subject of wine.
There are roughly 13,500 vegetable sommeliers in Japan, 31 of which are in Tokushima Prefecture.

How to get the Certification?
There are two course of vegetable sommelier certification. Starting from Junior Master Course to Senior Master Course.
Junior Master Course: Total 7 Lectures ( 2 hour per lecture) - Submit report - Final Test
Senior Master Course: Total 18 Lectures (2 hour per lecture) - Writing Test/Report- Interview
Junior Master Course: Total 7 Lectures ( 2 hour per lecture) - Submit report - Final Test
Senior Master Course: Total 18 Lectures (2 hour per lecture) - Writing Test/Report- Interview
